My name is Simon Lodai Amin Salvatore, a 24-year-old South Sudanese
Comboni Missionary Seminarian discerning my vocation to religious life
and priesthood in the spirit of Saint Daniel Comboni. My journey in formation began
at St. Mary’s Minor Seminary in the Diocese of Torit, where I completed my
South Sudan Certificate of Secondary Education in 2019 while studying at
Bishop Akio Secondary School.
Over the years, I have served as a teacher and mentor in several institutions, including
Bishop Akio Secondary School, St. Theresa Primary School,
St. Daniel Comboni Comprehensive College, Lomin, and
Faith Ministry International Academy. These experiences allowed me to shape lives,
inspire academic excellence, and accompany young people on paths of leadership and growth.
Since 2017, I have served as a Youth Peace Ambassador trained under the
United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) Public Information Office. In this role,
I advocate for peace, justice, human dignity, unity in diversity, and human rights through
poetry, drama, writing, and public speaking. I also worked as a trainer in
Conflict Resolution Education with the Whitaker Peace & Development Initiative
and have participated in trainings in Teacher Professional Development, ICT, Business Skills,
Entrepreneurship, and Conflict Resolution.
I am currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy at
Tangaza University. On 25 March 2024, I received a
Certificate of Outstanding Performance/Academic Excellence (2023–2024) from the
Tangaza Institute of Philosophy, a recognition that affirmed my academic commitment and personal dedication.
Alongside ministry and advocacy, I am a deeply devoted poet and writer. I write short stories,
novelties, reflections, and literature—but poetry remains the soul of my creative life. Through
Donesia Poems, I share my deepest reflections on love, hope, humanity, and peace.
Poetry is my mission, my voice, and my way of speaking to the hearts of others.
